Going to Court is the final step of the bankruptcy process. Prior to calling the Court and arranging a time and date to apply for a Bankruptcy Order you first need to consider your plan of action.
Personal bankruptcy will clear all of your unsecured debts, but in doing so it will remain on your Credit History for six years, which can have an effect on your future borrowing during that timeframe. Another type of insolvency is an IVA, which could be ideal should you have equity to protect, or an occupation that is excluded from personal bankruptcy.
If personal bankruptcy certainly is the answer you're looking for, then the appropriate paperwork will eventually be submitted to your local County Court.
