Attending Court will be the final step of the bankruptcy process. Before calling the Court and organising a time and date to apply for a Bankruptcy Order you first need to think about your plan of action.
Bankruptcy will clear your personal unsecured debts, but in doing so it will remain on your Credit File for six years, which will have an effect on your future borrowing during that timeframe. An alternative method of insolvency is an IVA, which could be best suited for those who have equity to protect, or a career that is excluded from personal bankruptcy.
If personal bankruptcy is the answer you're looking for, then the required documentation will eventually be submitted to your local County Court.
