Attending Court will be the final step of the bankruptcy process. Before phoning the Court and organising a time and date to apply for a Bankruptcy Order you first need to consider what you can do.
Personal bankruptcy will clear your personal unsecured debts, but in doing so it will remain on your Credit History for six years, which can hinder your future borrowing during that timeframe. An alternative form of insolvency is an IVA, which could be best suited in case you have equity to protect, or an occupation that is excluded from personal bankruptcy.
If bankruptcy is the answer you're looking for, then the appropriate documentation will eventually be filed at your local County Court.
