Going to Court will be the final step of the bankruptcy process. Before phoning the Court and organising a time and date to apply for a Bankruptcy Order you first need to think about what you can do.
Personal bankruptcy will clear all your unsecured debts, but in doing so it's going to stay on your Credit Report for six years, which will cause problems for your future borrowing during that timeframe. An alternative form of insolvency is an IVA, which could be suitable for people who have equity to protect, or a profession which is excluded from personal bankruptcy.
If personal bankruptcy is the solution you're looking for, then the appropriate paperwork will eventually be submitted to your local County Court.
For those living within
